The Federal Solar Tax Credit, known as Investment Tax Credit (ITC), allows you to deduct 30% of your solar energy system from your federal taxes.
The state of Utah provides a tax incentive of 30% of your solar system installation with a maximum of $400 for your home until the end of 2023.
For installations after December 31, 2023, there will not be a tax credit available for solar PV in Utah.
For installations of commercial buildings, the tax credit is refundable and is calculated as 10 percent of the eligible system cost or $50,000, whichever is less.
Every property has a unique roofline and energy needs. That’s why we start with an onsite survey. From there, we draw up a proposal that includes a system layout, installation costs, energy offset, performance estimate and potential savings. Our company also gives you a project timeline and financing options. Once you’re good with our proposal, we start designing your panel system.
In Utah, solar power companies must comply with zoning, mounting and location restrictions. With years of experience installing solar panels on various rooflines across the state, trust us to create an aesthetically pleasing panel layout while adhering to state laws and regulations.
Solar panels in Utah are easy on the pocketbook, thanks to various financing options and incentives. The federal solar tax credit allows you to claim up to 30 percent of panel installation costs as a credit on your federal taxes. State tax credits up to $1,600 are available as well. These credits will decrease each year, so we recommend acting quickly to get the full benefit. Also, we have an initiative that allows us to buy solar components at lower rates, making our panels more affordable.
You don’t have to worry about permits. We get all the permits required for solar installation in Utah, including local building and electrical permits, utility interconnection agreements and net-metering applications. With us, you can be sure your installation is properly organized from start to finish.
